What we keep, and why
Phool Bloom Club is a small snail-mail subscription. We need an address to post an envelope to you, and an email to write to you. That is genuinely the extent of it — this page says exactly what is collected, who else touches it, and how to have it removed.

What you give us at checkout
To subscribe you fill in one form. It asks for:
- Your first and last name — it goes on the envelope
- Your email address — for the club letters and your order
- Your phone number with country code — this is the number couriers call when they are trying to find you, which is why it is required rather than optional
- Your delivery address — street, an optional second line, city, state or region, postcode and country
All of it exists so an envelope reaches you. We do not use it for anything else, and we do not sell it or hand it to anyone who is not helping us post the envelope or run the subscription.
Your delivery details are stored against your subscription at Razorpay, our payment processor, so they are attached to the thing they are for.
Payment: we never see your card
Razorpay handles every payment. When you pay, Razorpay's own secure window opens and your card, UPI or bank details go straight to them. Those details never pass through this website, and we never see or store them — not the card number, not the CVV, nothing.
What comes back to us is only whether the subscription was created and whether a charge succeeded. Razorpay emails your receipt and mandate details to you directly; that email, not anything from us, is your record of what was charged.
Razorpay handles your payment information under its own privacy policy and its obligations as a regulated payment processor.
Email: the club letters
Our emails are sent through Kit (formerly ConvertKit). Your email address reaches Kit in one of two ways:
- You fill in the “Letters from the club” form on the homepage. That form asks for your first name, email and city. The city is stored as a simple label on your record so we know roughly where our readers are.
- You subscribe to a plan. When your first payment succeeds, your email is labelled in Kit with which plan you bought, so we know what to send you.
Every email we send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Clicking it stops the letters immediately and needs nothing from us. Unsubscribing from the letters does not cancel a paid subscription — those are separate, and cancelling is covered below.
Analytics: only if you say yes
We use Google Analytics to see how people find the Club. It only ever runs if you press Accept on the banner. This is not a banner that tracks you anyway and asks afterwards: until you accept, the Google script is not loaded at all, so no Google analytics cookie is set and no page view is recorded. If you press Decline, it is never loaded, on that visit or any later one.
If you do accept, what we send is deliberately thin: which pages were viewed, that someone reached a checkout page, and that a subscription was completed along with which plan it was. We never send any amount of money to Google — no prices, no revenue, no order totals. We count subscriptions, we do not report income to them.
Your answer is remembered in your own browser's local storage under the name
pb_consent, which is how the banner knows not to ask again. It stays on your
device.
Other things this site loads
Being straight with you about the rest of it:
- Fonts. Our typefaces are served from this site itself. They used to come from Google Fonts, which meant Google saw your IP address on every page load; they are now self-hosted, so loading a page sends nothing to Google.
- Razorpay's checkout script. On the two checkout pages, Razorpay's payment script loads with the page so the payment window can open. It may set its own cookies as part of processing a payment — that is Razorpay's, not analytics, and it is there to take your money safely.
- Hosting. The site runs on Netlify. Like any web host, it processes the requests your browser makes. If something goes wrong while your order is being created, the details you submitted can appear in our error logs so we can work out what broke.
Apart from the analytics described above, we do not set advertising cookies and there are no third-party trackers on this site.
Seeing, correcting or deleting your data
Write to hello@phoolbloomclub.com from the email address you signed up with, and say what you want:
- A copy — we will send you what we hold: your name, email, phone, address and which plan you are on.
- A correction — moved house, changed your number, a typo on the label. Tell us before the 25th and the next envelope goes to the right place.
- Deletion — we remove you from Kit and delete your delivery details. If you have a live subscription, cancel it first (or ask us to cancel it in the same email), because we cannot post an envelope to an address we have deleted.
One honest limit: Razorpay keeps its own record of payments it has processed, and that is theirs to keep under the rules that apply to payment processors. Deleting your details on our side does not erase Razorpay's transaction records. For those, contact Razorpay.
We will not make you jump through hoops. One email is enough, and we will confirm when it is done.
